About TheDieselHeater.com
Independent diesel heater reviews since 2025thediesel-heater.com is an independent review and buying guide site dedicated to diesel heaters for RVs, camper vans, trucks, boats, and off-grid use. We started this site because most product pages tell you what a heater does — not whether it actually works at altitude, how loud it is at 2 a.m., or what breaks first on a budget kit.
What We Cover
We research and compare diesel air heaters, diesel parking heaters, and diesel water heaters across all price tiers — from sub-$100 Chinese kits to premium European brands like Webasto and Planar/Autoterm. Our guides focus on the specs that matter for real-world use:
- Output (2kW, 5kW, 8kW) matched to space size
- Voltage compatibility (12V and 24V)
- Actual fuel consumption at low, medium, and high settings
- Noise levels in decibels — not just "quiet" marketing claims
- Altitude performance and automatic adjustment capability
- Installation difficulty and common pitfalls
- Honest comparison of budget vs. premium component quality
How We Make Money
We are transparent about our business model: thediesel-heater.com participates in the Amazon Associates affiliate program and may participate in other affiliate programs. When you click a product link and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. This is how we fund our research and keep the site running. Our reviews and recommendations are not influenced by affiliate relationships — we call out the downsides of every product we feature. See our full Affiliate Disclosure.
Editorial Standards
We cross-reference manufacturer spec sheets, community forums (Reddit van life, RV forums), and published tests when available. We note when data is based on manufacturer claims versus independent measurement. We do not invent prices, inflate ratings, or hide significant drawbacks.
